The Night of Taneyamagahara - DVD Trailer

I wanted to share a little bit of Kazuo Oga's directoral short film with you. I understand that Taneyamagahara will not appeal to everyone, but I think it's a magnificent experience. I do wish I knew the Kenji Miyazawa story so I could understand better, but as a work of art, this is brilliant, and that aspect is universal.

Too bad the price of the DVD in Japan is so astronomical...what's the deal with that, anyway? Do Japanese have so much more disposable income, or are DVDs less popular than in the US? I'd really like someone to explain to me the price thing.

The reason Japanese DVDs are so dang expensive is because their economy is so inflated that, to them, paying $45 dollars for a DVD is as natural as paying $15-20 for a DVD is natural to us. (I don't think I worded that very well)

Anyway, hope this helps.
