Disney's New 60-Second Arrietty Trailer

I understand Disney is beginning their ad campaign for The Secret World of Arrietty on the Disney Channel.  This 60-second trailer is now making the rounds.  It focuses on the voice actors and their roles in the film, a nice little setup of the story, and it all comes together nicely.  Now let's hope that Disney puts this movie on enough screens to actually make a difference.

Oh, and release some more DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, too, please.

Hello, big fan of your! I´m looking forward to see Arrietty and poppy hill, here in Europe, but I have a question for you. DO you know if ghibli is going to release a movie this year?

Thanks and keep the good work.

And let's not forget the Ninokuni videogame. I know it will be out on PS3 later this year but it'd be good to have the portable one too.

@Akotan - Yes, Ni no Kuni looks promising. It didn't do very well in Japan, but it may fare better in the West. It reminds me of Phantasy Star Online mixed with Pokemon and old school RPGs. If nothing else, it should look terrific on a large screen.

@FAS - Thanks for the kind words. Excellent question, and I have to write a couple formal posts on Ghibli's upcoming schedule. As it stands, Studio Ghibli is busy working on two features by the founding directors, Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki.

According to their schedule, Takahata's film will be released in Summer 2013, and Miyazaki's film will be Summer 2014.

If we see anything soon, we'll see Takahata's "film pilot," which should be just about finished by now. But that's just my educated guess; take with the usual caveats.
