Quick Question: Now that Horus, Prince of the Sun is released, what movies would you like to see released next? I am personally interested in the "classic" Toei Doga feature films (1958-72), as well as any Takahata/Miyazaki movies still unavailable on US home video. But I'm interested in knowing what you would like to see.
Share your thoughts and I'll pass them along to Discotek Media. Feel free to include Blu-Ray versions of existing DVD titles (cough, Horus).

Horus Blu-Ray all the way! Huge love for the title, especially the fish-hunting scene. But, you know what title desperately needs it now that we at least have the DVD for Horus here? Little Prince and the Eight Headed Dragon. Good gosh is that film's penultimate dragon-fight-scene gorgeous. Certainly recalls the Sleeping Beauty dragon-struggle in those inky blacks. The color palette for Little Prince is so richly felt.
Course, i'm also inclined to ask for Future Boy Conan on Blu-ray; one of the great serials ever.
Future Boy Conan. One can always dream.
Takahata's Anne because I would like to watch it with my grandmother before she dies. The novel has been immeasurably important in her life. I would also love Conan, Heidi, Marco and old black and white sixties stuff.
I heard the message that if Horus did well on DVD, the odds of a BD release would be greatly increased, so I picked it up, but I would double dip in an instant for a Blu-Ray release.
Also, Future Boy Conan, or hell, Heidi would be wonderful, as long as we are talking about Miyazaki and Takahata's works. Especially Heidi; still can't believe that the US is one of the few places it isn't available.
I've wanted to see one particular non-Ghibli/Toei film for a while. Otogi's World Tour would be a great choice for a DVD release.
Any of the Masterpiece Theater titles that Miya-san and Paku-san worked on would be great. Would also love to see Discotek releases of Tezuka's 1960 film Saiyuki (a.k.a. Alakazam the Great) and the film that first "hooked" Miya-san - the 1957 film Hakujaaden (Legend of the White Snake).
