Yeah! Friday is the day here in España. I've been holding back downloading the film because I think Miyazaki sensei deserves a big screen :)

The dubbing is awful as usual but luckily a couple of theaters are playing the movie in original version.

I'm incredibly excited to see this film. Yesterday I was watching Porco Rosso for the thousand time and I remembered once again why Miyazaki remains as one of the biggest artist of the century.

Actually, this is the Japanese trailer shot for shot (available on YouTube for quite some time), though of course with Spanish dubbing in accordance with the very worst traditions of Saturday morning voice acting. Although I liked how the Spanish have done Fujimoto (anything that helps me pretend he is a jaded Greenpeace activist is a plus) and the old lady.

Loathed the voice coming out of Ponyo! Loathed whoever made the decision to cram "...SO-SU-KE" into lip movements originally designed for "...SKI!" Hoping against hope that the Pixar guys don't do anything like that.

Hmmm, are you sure? I've posted the Japanese trailer here on the blog...I think. The footage here seemed new to me. Is my mind playing tricks with me? Or did it only go as far back as the French preview?

I don't speak Spanish, so I can't comment on the quality of the dub. So I'll just have to take your word for it. I'll trust the Pixar people to do a stellar job. Their dubs for Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle were superb, easily the two best anime dubs I've ever heard. I'd score them 90% for both.
