I haven't seen the Panda movies yet. I guess its criminal considering I have three kids who adore Kiki and Totoro.
Oh, yes, if you have young children, then Panda Kopanda is a must-have. It's so free of the shameless corporatism and cynicism that mars so many animated features here in the US. It's just a happy, carefree world full of imagination - a perfect pair of children's films.
Then add in the strong influence the first Panda Kopanda has upon My Neighbor Totoro, to the point where they almost comment on one another, and it's really a no-brainer.
Good luck finding a DVD!
