As a 10 year old, I was exposed to that studio's earliest work, "Jack & The Beanstalk", from a Disney Channel airing and loved it (Gisaburo Sugii of course came from Mushi Pro, I'm only glad Hen's Tooth Video bothered to release this on DVD last year, though I decided to keep ahold to my old VHS copy of it anyway). A more recent work of his that also caught my attention thanks to YouTube (and Jerry Beck's constant nagging over wanting to see on his blog) is "Arashi no Yoru ni" ("Stormy Night"). I only wish I could release stuff like this myself.Chris Sobieniakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09838106041175506925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24969765.post-63589934787856402412007-01-19T17:01:00.000-06:002007-01-19T17:01:00.000-06:00As far as I know, the DVD is currently out of prin...As far as I know, the DVD is currently out of print. I for one certainly do. ^_^

And by the way - this sounds a lot like Sennen Joyu and the like, maybe you'd find it interstering. In fact the same could be said be of most of the Buried Treasure column, so it's worth reading through the archives. The animé of Night on the Galactic Railway could prove to be particularly Ghibli-like.J.R.D.S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07449581460363034306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24969765.post-79421747473932632882007-01-17T14:10:00.000-06:002007-01-17T14:10:00.000-06:00Well, it's obvious I missed a lot!
