It always seemed funny thinking any kid who watched that cartoon for the first time would just think it was a random bunch of names throw on the screen such as at the end of the cartoon where Daffy names off the 'stars' he see!

"Sufferin' succotash, it's Ann Sheridan!"

Being reminded of a funny bit years later an segment from "The Bullwinkle Show", involving a Bullwinkle Fan Club telethon had Bullwinkle stating you'll see Bob Hope, Marlon Brando, Jane Mansfield and Perry Como (their names flash on the screen), but then adds "That's all you're going to see, their names!"Chris Sobieniakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09838106041175506925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24969765.post-4113846788389016262009-08-22T13:00:34.622-05:002009-08-22T13:00:34.622-05:00Ah, Edward G. He was even in a Bugs Bunny cartoon called, "Racketeer Rabbit." I'll have to check this cartoon on Wikipedia and see if there's an answer.

It its own way, this cartoon makes me miss Anamaniacs. Classic anarchy at its finest.

I don't know if these cartoons are shown on tv for free anymore. Just as Nina Paley said, once something becomes "valuable," the corporations lock everything away and then charge a premium for your right to see it. The result is that something that was once universally loved becomes obscure, unknown. This is the suffocation of greed.Daniel Thomas MacInneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01406180871529775448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24969765.post-54262885574404188802009-08-22T02:18:54.452-05:002009-08-22T02:18:54.452-05:00I believe that would be Edward G Robinson, who was...I believe that would be Edward G Robinson, who was never nominated but was given a lifetime achievement Oscar.Headspectrenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24969765.post-65221132394829920782009-08-22T00:42:42.074-05:002009-08-22T00:42:42.074-05:00Aahh, that brings me back. Bugs Bunny was probably my favorite.Sean L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14030703163409072830noreply@blogger.com
